These Terms of Service govern your use of Lulu’s Laundry Service (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a sole proprietorship operating in Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, and accessible at luluslaundry.com. By booking our services or submitting a quote request, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Lulu’s Laundry Service provides laundry pickup, washing, and delivery services across Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). Services include standard wash and fold for clothing, bedding, linens, towels, uniforms, and similar washable items.

We reserve the right to refuse service for items that are heavily soiled beyond normal laundering, contaminated with hazardous materials, or otherwise unsuitable for standard commercial processing.

2. Service Area

We service all of Halifax Regional Municipality, including Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, Cole Harbour, Fall River, Eastern Passage, and surrounding communities. Service availability in specific areas may vary. Contact us to confirm availability at your address.

3. Bookings and Scheduling

Pickups are scheduled by mutual agreement. Recurring customers are assigned a regular pickup day. It is your responsibility to have your laundry bags ready and accessible at the agreed pickup time and location.

If we are unable to complete a pickup due to inaccessibility, a missed pickup fee may apply. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before marking a pickup as missed.

4. Pricing and Payment

Pricing is per bag as listed on our website at the time of booking. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice to recurring customers.

We accept cash, e-transfer, and credit card. Recurring accounts are invoiced monthly. Pay-as-you-go pickups are billed at the time of service. Overdue accounts may result in suspension of service.

All prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable taxes where required by law.

5. Turnaround Time

Standard turnaround is 24 hours from pickup to delivery. We will make every reasonable effort to meet this timeframe. Delays due to circumstances beyond our control (weather, equipment failure, facility issues) will be communicated as promptly as possible.

6. Care of Items

We take reasonable care in handling all items. However, Lulu’s Laundry Service is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage to items
  • Damage resulting from items that are not suitable for standard machine washing
  • Colour bleeding, shrinkage, or damage caused by manufacturer care label non-compliance
  • Loss of items not properly identified or separated by the customer

If you have items requiring special care, please indicate this clearly in your notes at the time of booking. We recommend not including irreplaceable or high-value items in standard laundry bags.

7. Lost or Damaged Items

Claims for lost or damaged items must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery. We will investigate all claims in good faith. Our liability for any single item is limited to the reasonable replacement value of that item, up to a maximum of $100 CAD per claim, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Cancellations

One-time pickups may be cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time without charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee. Recurring customers may suspend or cancel their service with 7 days written notice.

9. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate pickup and contact information
  • Ensure laundry is accessible at the agreed pickup time
  • Not include hazardous, contaminated, or illegal materials in laundry bags
  • Pay for services rendered in a timely manner
  • Notify us of any special care requirements before pickup

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lulu’s Laundry Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nova Scotia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
